The New 2014 BMC Alpenchallenge AC01 Commuter Is Lighter and Stiffer.

The BMC Alpenchallenge AC01 has been lightened up for 2014, 500 grams lighter to be exact. The AC01′s lateral and torsional stiffness has also been increased making this bike on light and responsive commuter. The frame is triple butted aluminum with an aluminum fork (carbon on the XX1 equipped version), 3T flat bars and disc brakes. The AC01 can be built to suite everyone’s needs and budget with groupo options that include Sora, 105, Via-Gt, and XX1. The AC01 allows for wider tires, and even fenders and rolls on Alex rims (model depends on build kit). The BMC Alpenchallenge is a great commuter at a great price, be sure to take one for a test before settling for less.

How can it be a commuter bike if it doesn’t even have a rack ? Perhaps BMC thinks everyone is a bike messenger ?
